Michael B. Wood
|
|
Mr. Wood graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and moved to Honolulu in 1963. Mr. Wood spent the next eighteen (18) years working for Kenault Incorporated in the sundry, food and household products brokerage and warehousing and distribution business. His responsibilities prior to becoming the President of the company at age thirty-eight (38), including sales management, were to create greater warehouse efficiencies, maximize the facility and inventory systems, and computerize their entire operation. During Mr. Wood's role as President, he designed and built a 140,000 square feet warehouse facility in Campbell Industrial Park. Under his tenure, Kenault Incorporated became the largest food and household products broker and distributor in Hawaii with 1980 sales over $40,000,000. Today that warehouse is the principal distribution facility for Fleming Foods, Hawaii's largest grocery wholesaler.
After the sale of his company, Mr. Wood entered the real estate development business full time in 1981. Since that time, he has developed or co-developed numerous warehouses, distribution centers, shopping center renovations, and specialty projects in Honolulu.
Mr. Wood is a Founder and Principal in MW Group, Ltd., MW Commercial Realty, and Hawaii Self Storage.
Michael has been married to Joanne Wood for over 40 years and they have three grown sons and two grandsons all born and raised in Hawaii.

stephen B. Metter

Mr. Metter is Chief Executive Officer and Principal in MW Group, Ltd. and MW Commercial Realty, Inc.
A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Stephen B. Metter has been a leader in the Hawaii commercial real estate development industry for more than 16 years.
Mr. Metter is an active member in the community serving as a director for a variety of boards: McDonald’s Corporation Advisory Board, Pacific Rim Bank, Sennet Capital, The Plaza Club, Hawaii Humane Society, Friends of the Hawaii State Art Museum, Fort Street Business District, March of Dimes, Honolulu Culture and Arts District, Child and Family Services, and is active in Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
Mr. Metter is married to Susan Metter and they have three children.

thomas j. ocasek

Mr. Ocasek graduated from the School of Business at The Ohio State University prior to attaining the rank of Captain in the United States Marine Corps. The first 11 years of his business career included a broad range of international business responsibilities including: Contract Administration and Negotiation in the Commercial Airplane Division of the Boeing Company, Long Range Planning Manager for Theo. H. Davies, and Operations Manager for Duty Free Shoppers – Micronesia.
Under his 22 years of leadership as President, Pomare, Ltd. grew to be the leading apparel and resort retailer in Hawaii. He was responsible for opening or renovating 120 stores throughout the state. The company is ranked annually in the “Top 250” businesses in Hawaii and has received numerous industry and community honors.
Tom has been an active leader in the community serving as an officer and director of numerous business and community organizations including the Chairman of the Board of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau.
Prior to joining MW Group as Managing Director, Tom spent the last 6 years participating in and mentoring the launching of new businesses. He was one the original investors in MW Group, Ltd. projects.
Tom and his wife Sally raised their two sons in Hawaii and have called it home for over 35 years. |
